Acknowledgements
The Wildfire Mitigation Programs in each of
the five North Idaho counties are implemented through
the dedication and expertise of a diverse, collaborative
effort. The membership of each County Wildfire
Mitigation Committee, Task Force or Steering Committee
is unique to that county. All of the federal, state and
local government agencies, organizations, businesses,
industry and private citizen participants who have
contributed to these programs warrant the sincere thanks
and appreciation of the Panhandle residents.
The
funding which enables the county groups to protect WUI
homes and businesses and educate the public about
wildfire is primarily provided through grants from two
