Is there a problem?
You should have your water tested:
-
if there are
unexplained illnesses in the family.
-
if there is a
sudden or gradual change in taste, odor, or color.
-
if there are
frequent visitors other than family members; especially if
visitors become sick after arriving; family members may have
developed a resistance to water contents.
-
if there is a
spill of chemicals or petroleum products near your well or
into the surface water that services your drinking water
supply.
-
if an oily sheen
appears when the water stands for a while.
What is Lake*A*Syst?

yellow) to assess your property for drinking water pollution
risks.
-
Review the
Action Checklist (at the back of the worksheet summary)
to inventory contamination sources, and to help you.
-
Take Action
to protect the Lake, by using Best Management Practices
found in Lake*A*Syst.
How do I
complete the worksheet?
After reviewing the information
provided, go to the worksheet and check what applies to you.
This should take about 15 to 30 minutes to complete the
worksheet and summarize your risk rankings.
